Perhaps the biggest change with the new XPS 13 is the 13.3-inch display and its bezel, or lack of. The original shipped with a paltry 1,366 x 768 resolution but for 2015, buyers have the option of equipping the machine with an impressive 3,200 x 1,800 high-resolution touchscreen panel.
Under the hood is the latest 5th generation Intel Core series processors (from an i3 up to an i7) alongside your choice of either 4GB or 8GB of RAM. That new processor is good for some seriously awesome battery life – up to 15 hours with an i5 and the 1080p display, Dell claims.
Pricing starts at just $799 for an entry-level XPS 13 with a Core i3 and climbs to nearly $2,000 if you want all of the bells and whistles. Systems are shipping today in the US.
